Welcome to Travelstick! The aim of this site is to provide free, up-to-date information for budget travelers. We cover accommodation, sights, transport and everything else you need to know. All travel information included on this site is based on a budget of between US$ 25 and US$ 35 a day, depending on which country you are in. All accommodation and activities mentioned should be possible within this budget range. Prices given are mainly for the high season. During the low season prices for accommodation, tours and treks are often reduced. How much you pay often depends on how well you bargain. We will try, where possible, to give you some idea of how much you can expect to pay during these periods. When choosing which information to include, we have assumed that the travelers using this website do not want to be told exactly what to do and where to go. We have therefore tried to give as much helpful information and advice as we can without planning your entire trip for you. For example, in our accommodation sections you will often find that we provide only one or two hotel names. This is not intented to direct you specifically to that hotel but is merely indicating that there is an enormous choice of budget accommodation, usually all in one area and easy to find. In these cases, as everyone has different preferences, you will probably prefer just to look around and choose one for yourself. The one or two that we include are those that we know to be clean and well priced, just to get you started. In smaller places where accommodation is scarce we will try give a fuller coverage of all the options. We have tried not to give too many opinions on what are the best things to do or the best places to stay etc. We know that everybody is looking for different things and can make up their own minds about what is good or not. Never-the-less, we hope the information we give will be helpful to you. If you find this site useful you can help us continue by writing in with updates, tips and other useful information. This is not a commercialised website, we just enjoy traveling like you. As you can see we have included some advertisements, but this is only to cover the costs.
