El Remate east of the lago de Peten Itza 20 km before Tikal. A good place to make your base camp for Tikal. Tikal To Tikal there are only collectivos. They will cost you Q50 for a return ticket. Uaxactun There is one bus a day it will stop at the bus stop around 2 pm. The journey takes 1.5 hour and will cost you Q30. You have to buy a ticket as you go into the national park of Tikal. This ticket is only for the national park Tikal . This tiket will cost you Q20. You need it becourse Uaxactun is in the national park. The ticket man will try to sell you the Tikal Archaeoligcal site ticket. Just keep smiling and tell him you only want to go to Uaxactun. |
