The Honduras public transport system includes autobus, collectivo and boat. For more information click on the individual transport sections for each city. Bus and Collectivo Local buses usually run from 5 am until 9 pm. Intercity lines usually start from 6am with a last bus leaving early enough in the afternoon so that its destination is reached before dark to avoid crime problems. Collectivos travel on a regular basis between cities. Boat Ferries sail the Caribbean, Atlantic, and Pacific coastlines.
