Corinto is a small town with a population of around 20,000, situated on the northern Pacific coast of Nicaragua. Although the town is small and rather poor it does have the largest harbour port on Nicaragua?s Pacific coast. The port, together with the railway that begins and ends at the town, is very important for import and export with South America. Corinto is a quiet, peaceful town not often visited by tourists although the area has several beautiful unspoilt beaches. |
